Remember to keep your injuries realistic, as well as their healing process. If you decided to have your character suffer an ailment you must be prepared to deal with the consequences. Bothering the medicine cat to heal you quicker will not be met with nicely, and attempting to play the "hero" and push through the injury will only cause further damage to your character. Do not forget that medicine cats are very high ranked as well as highly respected individuals. They may even order around the leader if they see fit for their specific spiritual and healing role. Talking back to these sacred cats and otherwise being rude would be seen as a dishonor onto the warrior committing such atrocity.

{Broken Bone}
Common Location(s) :: femur, pelvis, jaw, tail
Causes :: falling, attacks by other animals/humans, or that which weakens the bones (hormones, bone infections, bone cancer)
Symptoms :: crying, howling, moaning, growling (specially if touched) Not walking or using the limb, not eating or grooming, swelling or bruising in the injured area, shock, aggression
Compound fracture :: bone pokes through skin
Treatment :: splint if not too severe, amputation if severe, pelvis + spine = no moving for long time
After Injury :: restrict jumping, keep dry, chafing can occur, keep from chewing on,
Time :: 4-6 weeks, cats heal bones pretty wells
{Wound}
Common Forms :: cuts (lacerations), bruises (contusions), scrapes (abrasions)
Causes :: Can be inflicted by a variety of things
Symptoms :: bleeding, swelling, missing hair, cut and scrapped skin, limping, tenderness or pain, infection, discharge of pus, abscesses (accumulation of pus under the skin), and signs of fever (lethargy, ears feel hot to touch)
Treatment :: Apply pressure to the wound and cobwebs as a gauze. It may take 5-10 minutes for the bleeding to stop, clean wound
After injury :: Keep from licking and scratching the wound, apply fresh clean and dry bandages 2 to 3 times a day at first, look for chafing of bandages (often caused by them getting wet), and abscesses take 10-14 days to develop if the wound was not taken care of.
Time :: 1-2 weeks
{Shock}
Cause :: trauma, infections, heart disease, fluid loss (diarrhea or vomiting)
Symptoms :: Listlessness or depression, pale (cool) gums, weak pulse, rapid heart rate, rapid shallow breathing, below normal body tempurpature
Treatment :: Very little can be done but to use herbs to increase heart rate, keep them warm, and place their head lower than their heart
After injury :: Prevent relapse into shock
Time :: Anywhere from a few minutes to several hours
{Gum Disease}
Common Location(s) :: Mouth
Causes :: Age (5 years), unknown to me, unknown to me,
Symptoms :: Pain, soreness, bad breath, bad taste in the mouth, loss of desire to eat and talk, loss of one or two teeth
Treatment :: Painkillers, extracting rotting teeth, cleansing
After injury :: Careful when eating, salt water washes, probably likely to find it hard to eat and drink
Time :: Could take months to develope and months more if it ever does heal (which it may not).
